Protecting the Environment

Both nationally and internationally, Oregon is recognized and lauded for its history and sustained support for conservation measures. We have shown that we as a state are firmly committed to promoting a sustainable path of balancing our use and appreciation of our natural resources.
 

Oregon League of Conservation Voters provides a list of 2012 legislative priorities to improve our quality of life and make our state a healthier place. These measures include:

-          Preserving Oregon’s renewable energy standard

-          Promoting marine reserves

-          And reinvesting in Oregon’s natural resources
