Rep. David Wu has announced that he is resigning from Congress, after the debt ceiling crisis is resolved. His announcement came minutes after Senators Wyden and Merkley called for his resignation.

A national report shows that the income gap between white people and people of color has grown to a 25-year high, largely as a result of the continued crisis in home values.

The Roseburg News-Review takes the local Tea Party chapter to task for the intimidation tactics they used on a small, public gathering of MoveOn members.
