What could $93 million have paid for?

In 2011, Oregon legislators gave away $93 million in new tax breaks for big corporations. We don't think that matches Oregon's priorities.

1. Based on the average cost for a week of school for all Oregon school districts.

Prevented every single senior citizen from losing their homes after being booted from the state's deferred tax program.

What is our country's thinking when it comes to the rich? Why do people think that because you are rich, you shouldnt pay more in taxes? If we had progressive tax tables and there were no loopholes, would that not be better? Would not the revenue to achieve good things for our state not be worth raising the taxes back to 1970 levels?
